Capacity preview for customers

Transparency on construction works on the north-south corridor

Infrastructure works can have a huge impact on the capacity and performance of intermodal transport, especially when numerous works sum up on single relations.

Hupac therefore provides its customers with a detailed Capacity Preview related to major construction works on the north-south corridor with 4-6 months lead time. The impact of the capacity restrictions is mitigated by deviations, the temporary usage of alternative routings and terminals, back-up train compositions and additional loco drivers.

The Capacity Preview enables transport companies and shippers to better manage traffic volumes in the event of capacity restrictions. “Another step for more transparency in intermodal transport”, says Hupac CEO Michail Stahlhut.

For the coming months Hupac expects a satisfactory capacity offer. A detailed preview for single relations is under preparation.
