Hupac has around 5,200 rail platforms and bundles the consignments of different transport companies into whole trains as a neutral, independent combined transport operator. These trains run back and forth between transhipment terminals on long and mostly international routes. The traction is provided by external rail companies. The pre-carriage from the origin to the terminal and the onward carriage from the terminal to the final destination are carried out by transport companies. Hupac is committed to railway liberalisation and offers its services to all transport companies.
