Terminal Busto Arsizio-Gallarate

The Busto Arsizio-Gallarate Terminal has implemented a series of measures aimed at reducing physical contact between people involved in terminal operations, eliminating the need for contact altogether or, where this is not possible, maintaining the minimum recommended distance of 2 m between people.

Terminal operations “Contactless”

Terminal operations are carried out as follows:

  • Automatic check-in at the entrance gate via OCR (Optical Character Recognition) portals with the driver obliged to remain in the cab
  • Frequent daily disinfection of surfaces that are exposed to indirect contact between people (keyboards, buttons, tablets, shelves, handles)
  • Periodic sanitizing of indoor and outdoor environments, vehicles and equipment
  • Supply of disposable gloves and disinfectant gel for drivers
  • Transmission of transport documents in digital form (as far as possible)
  • Regulated access to the counters for a maximum of two people at a time with separation of entry and exit flows, mandatory to maintain a distance of at least one meter between people and to wear the protective mask
  • Glass counters with physical separation between Hupac front office operators and user
  • Signs posted at all access points and messages transmitted via loudspeaker calling for compliance with the rules of behaviour
  • Absence of direct physical contact between people during loading/unloading operations.

Punctual collection of units

In order to maintain a safe working environment for everyone and at the same time to guarantee the operational continuity and efficiency of our services, it is necessary that goods make their way without congesting the terminal. Therefore, units may not be leaved in the terminal, but need to be collected immediately.

This also applies to freight arriving at our terminal and destined for locations in the so-called "red zone": unfortunately we are unable to store these units, which will have to be collected and handled at alternative sites.

Instructions for drivers

The Busto Arsizio-Gallarate terminal has adopted a series of anti-contagion measures in compliance with current regulations. Drivers are required to strictly observe the following instructions:

  • Access to the terminal is forbidden to people with fever symptoms or who have come into contact with people infected by coronavirus
  • It is mandatory to wear the mask provided by the employer
  • It is mandatory for the driver to remain in the driver's cab when entering the terminal and during check-in operations of the unit
  • For the handling of objects and documents and the use of snack and beverage vending machines, drivers are invited to use gloves and disinfectant material provided by Hupac
  • It is mandatory to observe at least 1 meter distance from all those present
  • The entrance of maximum 2 people is allowed at the same time at the counters and one person at a time is allowed to enter the services and the refreshment room
  • We remind you that it is forbidden to take photographs or video footage on the entire terminal area.
